Robert Dorigo Jones is President of Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch (M-LAW), a position he has held since April, 1997.

As President of M-LAW, Dorigo Jones is working to raise public awareness of how families, communities, and job providers are affected by living in the most litigious society on earth and, most importantly, what can be done to bring common sense back to the courts. He is interviewed frequently on television and radio and has appeared on NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, ABC News’ 20/20, Fox News and Court TV.

Prior to joining M-LAW, Dorigo Jones served on the staff of the Michigan House of Representatives. He received his B.A. degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University in 1985 where he majored in political philosophy and economics.

Dorigo Jones has served as an arbitrator with the Michigan Medical Arbitration Program, as a member of the Farmington Ridge Homeowners Association Board of Directors, is currently President of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity Alumni Association at Michigan State University, and volunteers as a coach for youth baseball, basketball and soccer.

Robert Dorigo Jones and his wife, Denise, are the proud parents of two boys and live in metro Detroit.

“When I learned that the Little League of America spends more money on liability insurance to protect itself from lawsuits than it spends on bats, balls and gloves, I knew it was time to tackle the problem of runaway litigation in America. On behalf of the consumers, community leaders, small business owners, teachers and thousands of other citizens who support M-LAW, I would like to invite you to join our effort to defend the principle of personal responsibility in our society.”
